No, it's not just a clever name. This is a blog about classical music (and sometimes other arts) in Pittsburgh. Your host is "Schnell" Wilhelm Parker, bastard son of a certain world-renowned maestro from Salzburg. In 2008, Wilhelm published "Fear and Loathing at the Bayreuth Festival," which critics are already hailing as "the greatest piece of classical music writing since the Heiligenstadt Testament" (The New Yorker). He holds down a day job in the US Steel Building and is currently working on a biography of Emanuel Schikaneder, tentatively titled, What's Libretto Got to Do With It?
